my mom: Oh, by the way, I called AirTran and asked if I could bring an axe on the plane, and they laughed at me.
me: ...wait, what?!
mom: You know, for when you go camping. To cut firewood. Anyway I can't bring it, so, sorry.
me: ...oh...?
mom: I can bring the jar of molasses, though, if I check it.
me: yay!

back from my long weekend of reunioning with former housemates-or-as-good-as Grace, Dan, and Mei Ling. to suddenly find a bunch of work waiting for me. is this how I know I'm fully integrated into my job now?
